Parking

Sunday Mornings

Visitors may park in the oval parking area on the east side of the Meeting House. There is additional parking in the lot behind the building, where you will see our solar panels, and in the city lot on Elmwood Avenue. You can get to the Elmwood Avenue lot by leaving the church parking through the west exit and turning right. The lot is immediately on your left.

If all of these spots are filled, there is street parking available, and also a city parking structure located on North Winooski Avenue.

Do not park in the lot on the corner of Pearl Street and Clarke Street. This is a private lot and parkers will be towed.

Evenings and Weekends

You may use the Society parking lot on weekday evenings and weekends.

Weekdays

Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., we rent out spaces in our parking lot to people who work downtown. Anyone without a current parking tag will be towed from the lot during these times. During these same hours, the oval parking area on the side of the Meeting House is reserved for members who have purchased a parking tag or for people meeting with the minister. If you do not have a Member Parking Tag and need to use one of these spots during the week, please ask for a temporary tag in the Society office.

Member Parking Tags are for short term parking (3 hours or less) Monday through Friday during normal business hours. You may purchase a tag by contacting our Facilities Manager, Bob Furrer at Bob@uusociety.org. 

We currently do not have weekday non-member parking spots available and have closed our waiting list. If this situation should change, we will post it on our website.
